And I bought GTA5 off of Rockstar back in the day since it was a few bucks cheaper. No single package available for people with good internet (or even a download installer like Windows uses). They can be kind of annoying, though, since they make you download 10 different files to get something like Witcher 3 installed. I own a bunch of stuff on GoG, but don't use their launcher. and I *hope* that that's it, but there's probably more that I can't remember. I've re-bought games that I got from Twitch on Steam just so that I don't have to have that damn launcher on my computer (via Humble's recent RPG bundle. So when you download a game Galaxy links in with, for example steam, and installs the game via those servers. Have you used PlayOnLinux to install Windows games on Linux? I imagine it works very much the same way in that Galaxy is signed in to your other accounts. Or rather, it doesn't technically add your games to Galaxy, it's more like it links all the accounts together and let's you access them from the same place. Can they get that info from the services or will it all be reset? And if I have cloud saves on Steam will GOG be able to find and download them? How will GOG know where the saves are stored? Steam and Origin has cloud save support built in so maybe it can be automated, but what about Epic games? Do you need to manually tell Galaxy where the saves are stored? And I do wonder about that time and achivement tracking and cloud saves. The real hurdels are just whether or not other services will put a stop to it or not. If it doesn't work like how I said then it wouldn't really work for games that aren't on GOG in the first place, at which point it becomes kind of useless.įrom my experience with Linux gaming I think linking libraries will be very doable.
